主要內容：
Why do we communicate? What do we communicate about? What is the
relationship between communication and culture? What do evolutionists mean
by ‘cultural transmission’? By ‘cumulative culture’? What could it mean
that culture is a hierarchy? Of ‘communication objects’? Of ‘scales’ of
information production? These topics have been pursued for 10 years by an
anthropologist with training in culture and language, in the new forms of
cultural evolution, and in the study of energy and complex systems. Please
